My first test of my first self-balancing scooter (May, 2009)

I apologize for the quality, but this was taken in late May of 2009 in my high school's math/sciences building using a flip-phone camera sitting upside-down on a bench. This prototype was long before the TiltyIMU boards were even an idea, it actually used a Lego NXT controller and sensors and never worked very well… Though it eventually did get to the point where it worked well enough to ride for extended periods of time, and even off-road.
